Speedminton® Sweden

Speed badminton is the most rapidly growing racket sport in the world. The speed, it’s simplicity, and above all, the feeling one gets from hitting the special fast balls, makes people more and more getting a taste for it.

Speed badminton is the racket sport that takes you to new highs. No matters if you’re indoors, at the park or at the beach… No net needed – only your own adrenalin – where ever, when ever!

The simplicity of it all; that from a square of 5.5 meters hit the ball into the same size square on the other side 12.83 meters away, no net in between. It’s a super fast play with the initial speed of the balls up to 290 km/h.

One can also enjoy playing in the darkness of the night with the special luminous balls. 

Public events

Speedminton® is for everyone. Speedminton® is attractive, not only to youngsters, but has become a sport- and pastime activity that more and more suits all categories. At our different public events, like visiting schools, our presence at various racket sport tournaments, large beach events etc. we allure many of the spectators to come and try for them selves.

We are constantly present during the whole year tennis and badminton competitions where we demonstrate and let people test play and try for them selves.

Media  The large attention Speedminton® has been given in the Media around the world lately, has resulted in more frequent sport reports in national TV and Press. Hundreds of articles have been written by the newspapers as well as the special sport Magazines. In Sweden there have been numerous articles and in Göteborgs – Posten  they presented us on a whole page!

The Swedish schools are beginning to adapt Speedminton®.

During the spring, we have begun our big school-drive, and since January, we have visited a large number of schools, gymnasiums and high schools. More than a hundred schools have so far discovered Speedminton® and added it into their regular programs. New schools are added all the time and towards the autumn we’ll intensify our set out.

The Future: In only one year in Sweden, Speedminton® has increased enormously. From only having been known by a few racket enthusiasts in the big Cities, the Speedminton® racket sport has rapidly established it self around the country. Newly started clubs appear here and there, and a Union is about to be founded. In this aspect, Sweden is one of the leading countries and furthermore, the World Champion of this game is a Swede.

The distribution and sales of Speedminton® articles has risen drastically in Sweden and we are now ranking number two when it comes to sold rackets per capita in the world. In Germany, during the past first nine months of 2008, there were sold 160 000 rackets.

The big Sport chains Intersport and Team Sportia has started to sell our products in several stores. Volvo with 180 stores sells our rackets now. The Coop Forum is selling our products in all of their 60 shops around the country. In a special campaign around midsummer, they will send their special Speedminton® Campaign to over two million Swedish households.

We believe that Speed badminton within a short period of time, will become a pastime activity for all family members, during the warmer part of the year. In the long run; Speed badminton will become an established sport just as well as tennis and badminton are to day!
